Coordinated and multiple-Views in Exploratory Visualization

School of Computer Science, Bangor University

Multiple coordinated views has become the 'bread and butter' of visual analytics. A group of researchers at Bangor University are researching on several areas of Coordinated and Multiple Views. The principle is that through seeing the data in different ways (alternative representations) the user understands more clearly the information. The CMV systems are highly interactive and allow users to compare different datasets (dataruns) side-by-side or explicitly compare the information. Also the information could be displayed using several technologies that utilize different senses (multimodality).
